Designed SF Guidebook
It started out as sort of a top locations of SF to kind of give people a quick preview of the city but soon after realizing how overdone that concept has been I decided to dig deeper and focus on the art and design that is all around the city but doesn’t actually have its own focused book. After changing directions I got a list of places from prof Mimi, to get me started the cool thing was the discoverability of the murals and other installations that were are the bay minus the giant bow and arrow because who can’t find that? The next steps for this book is to explore, find what is still missing, according to my research there are 476 known murals alone that doesn’t include what has recently been painted and where. Art installations no matter the scale, and design companies also need to be found and included. As for information I feel like there only needs to be enough key info that tells you what’s around, how much it will cost, and how to find it, the rest is left up to the reader.
